GoodSender Terms of Service

Last updated: November 2, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Joy Labs Ventures, LLC ("GoodSender", "we", "us", or "our"), the company that operates GoodSender. They govern your use of:

Together we call these the "Services". By creating an account, connecting an AI assistant, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy at https://goodsender.com/privacy, which explains how we handle personal information. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

If you use the Services on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it to these Terms, and "you" includes that organization.

2. Accounts and workspaces

Eligibility. GoodSender is a sending and publishing service that requires a binding contract, so you must be at least 18 years old and able to form one to use the Services. The Services are not directed to children.

Your account. You sign in with a supported sign-in provider. Keep your sign-in, your API keys and any device that holds them secure. You are responsible for everything done with your account, your API keys and the AI-assistant connections you authorize, and you must tell us promptly at support@goodsender.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

Workspaces. Your blog, recipients, templates, sender identities, connected platforms and settings live in a workspace. If other people have access to a workspace with you, each of them must accept these Terms, and you are responsible for their use of the workspace you share.

Accurate information. Give us accurate account information and keep it current. Sender names and addresses must identify you or the organization you send for truthfully.

3. Acceptable use and consent-based sending

GoodSender is built for email that people have asked to receive. Protecting recipients and the deliverability of everyone who sends through us comes first, and these rules apply to every email you send, whether you send it from the dashboard, the API, or an AI assistant.

a. Consent

  • Send custom email only to people who agreed to hear from you. GoodSender holds custom email to a new recipient until that recipient agrees to a consent request we send on your behalf. You must not attempt to get around that step, for example by adding a recipient's consent on their behalf, using another workspace or account, or splitting a send to avoid it.
  • No purchased, rented, scraped or harvested lists. Do not add addresses you bought, rented, borrowed, appended, scraped from websites or collected by guessing. Do not add people who gave their address for an unrelated purpose.
  • Honor declines and unsubscribes. When someone declines, unsubscribes or complains, stop emailing them. Do not re-add them to get a new consent request.
  • Transactional templates are only for genuine transactional email. The built-in templates that send without a consent step (one-time codes, multi-factor enrollment, new-device sign-in, password and email changes, order receipts and order completions) exist for messages a person needs because of something they did with your product. Use them only for that. Never use them, or put content in them, to advertise, promote or announce anything.
  • Follow the law. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your email and your recipients, including the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the EU and UK GDPR and ePrivacy rules, and similar laws. That includes giving any information those laws require in your messages, such as a valid physical postal address in commercial email.
  • Keep your lists healthy. We apply daily and monthly sending quotas and a minimum consent rate per sender, and we watch bounces and spam complaints. We may slow, pause or refuse sends that exceed those limits or that put deliverability at risk.

b. Prohibited content and conduct

You must not use the Services to send, publish or host anything that:

  • is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive or misleading, including false or misleading sender information or subject lines;
  • is phishing, or tries to collect passwords, payment details or other sensitive information under false pretenses;
  • contains or links to malware, or is designed to harm or gain unauthorized access to any system;
  • impersonates a person or organization, or falsely implies an endorsement or affiliation;
  • infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights;
  • harasses, threatens, defames or incites violence against anyone, or promotes hatred against people based on a protected characteristic;
  • sexually exploits or endangers minors, in any form; or
  • promotes illegal goods or services.

You must also not:

  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Services, or get around any authentication, quota, rate limit or other security or usage control (to report a vulnerability in good faith, write to support@goodsender.com with "Security" in the subject, and do not access data that is not yours);
  • interfere with or overload the Services, or use them to send email for other senders as a relay or reseller without our written permission;
  • copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the Services, except to the extent the law allows despite this restriction or an open-source license for a component allows it; or
  • use the Services to build a competing service from our non-public materials.

We may review a small sample of the email sent from each workspace, as described in our Privacy Policy, to detect spam and abuse.

4. Your content

You own your content. Your posts, images, blog designs, email templates, emails, recipient lists and other material you put into the Services ("Your Content") remain yours. We claim no ownership of it.

The license you give us. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, format, display, publish and transmit Your Content only as needed to provide the Services to you and as you direct. That includes publishing your blog on the web, sending your email to the recipients you choose, posting to the platforms you connect, and keeping backups. The license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies in backups kept for a limited period, content you already sent or posted to others (such as delivered email or posts on a platform you connected), and anything we must keep by law. We do not use Your Content to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

Your blog is public. What you publish on a blog we host is visible to anyone on the internet and may be indexed by search engines, and the newsletter sends a summary and a link to whoever has agreed to receive it.

Your responsibility. You confirm that you have the rights needed to publish and send Your Content and that doing so does not violate these Terms or anyone's rights. If you believe content hosted on GoodSender infringes your copyright or other rights, write to legal@joylabsventures.com with enough detail for us to find it and assess the claim.

Feedback. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.

5. AI features, AI assistants and the MCP connector

a. AI features inside GoodSender

Some features inside GoodSender, such as post metadata suggestions and the blog design chat, use AI models. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or similar to output given to others. Review it before you publish or send it. You are responsible for what you choose to publish or send.

b. Connecting an AI assistant

GoodSender publishes an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server so that AI assistants such as Anthropic's Claude and Claude Code, OpenAI's ChatGPT and Codex, Google's Gemini CLI, and other MCP-compatible clients can work with your workspace. Anthropic, OpenAI and Google are independent companies; they do not operate GoodSender and have not sponsored or endorsed it. You can connect in two ways:

  • Hosted connector. Your assistant connects to https://mcp.goodsender.com/ and you sign in to GoodSender through OAuth in your browser. The connection is bound to the one workspace you choose. You can end it in the dashboard under Settings › MCP & CLI › Connected agents, by removing GoodSender from your assistant, or by writing to support@goodsender.com.
  • Local server. You run the GoodSender MCP server, desktop bundle or command-line tool on your own computer with an API key from your dashboard. The local server stores its working data in a file on your device, and you are responsible for keeping that device and the API key secure.

c. Your assistant acts on your authorization

When you connect an assistant, you authorize it to call GoodSender tools on your behalf, with the same permissions as your account in that workspace. Those tools can create, edit and publish posts, change blog settings and designs, add and remove recipients, send email and post to the platforms you connected.

  • Actions your assistant takes are your actions. Every tool call that reaches GoodSender through your connection is treated as made by you, and these Terms, including the consent and acceptable-use rules in Section 3, apply to it exactly as if you had done it in the dashboard.
  • Review before you approve. Tools that publish, send, delete or change live data are marked as such, and most assistants ask you before running them. On the hosted connector, that prompt from your assistant is the approval step. The local server can additionally hold those actions until you confirm them. Approval prompts depend on your assistant and its settings; read what the assistant proposes before you approve it, and do not turn approvals off for actions you have not reviewed. Sent email and published posts generally cannot be recalled.
  • Keep secrets out of assistant conversations. Do not give an assistant your passwords, API keys, one-time or multi-factor codes, payment card numbers, government identification numbers or health information, and do not ask it to put them into posts or email. Send one-time codes and other security messages from your own product through the API, not through an assistant.
  • Assistants are third-party services. We do not control what an assistant decides to do, what it passes to a tool, or what it does with a tool's result. Your use of an assistant is governed by its provider's own terms, usage policies and privacy policy, and you are responsible for making sure that what you ask an assistant to do through GoodSender complies with them as well as with these Terms. An assistant's mistake is not a defect in the Services, and you remain responsible for actions taken through your connection.

6. Third-party services

The Services work with services we do not operate, including sign-in providers (such as Google and LinkedIn), publishing platforms you connect (such as X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Mastodon, Dev.to and Hashnode), Cloudflare for custom domains, and the AI assistants you connect (such as those from Anthropic, OpenAI and Google). Your use of each is governed by its own terms. We are not responsible for those services, their availability, or changes they make that affect what GoodSender can do with them. When you connect one, you authorize us to act with it on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy.

Email from GoodSender is delivered by Laneful, the email delivery infrastructure that Joy Labs Ventures also operates. These Terms, not the Laneful terms, govern your use of GoodSender.

7. Fees

GoodSender is free up to the monthly sending volume shown on our pricing page at https://goodsender.com/pricing. Sending above that volume is charged at the prices shown there when the usage occurs. Paid usage is invoiced by Joy Labs Ventures through Laneful's billing, and payment information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Unless the pricing page says otherwise, fees are due as invoiced, are exclusive of taxes (which you pay, other than taxes on our income), and are non-refundable except where the law requires a refund. We may change prices or the free allowance by updating the pricing page; a change to the price of usage you pay for takes effect no sooner than 30 days after we tell you about it. Quotas and limits under Section 3 apply on every plan. If an invoice remains unpaid after notice, we may suspend sending until it is paid.

8. Suspension and termination

By you. You can stop using the Services at any time. You can revoke API keys and disconnect assistants and platforms whenever you like, and you can ask us to delete your account as described in our Privacy Policy.

By us. We may suspend or limit a workspace, an API key, an assistant connection or your account, immediately and without prior notice where we reasonably believe it is necessary, if you breach these Terms, if your sending threatens recipients or the deliverability of other senders (for example high bounce or complaint rates or a low consent rate), if required by law, or to protect the Services, our users or others. Where practical, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem. We may also end the Services or your account for any reason with at least 30 days' notice.

Effect. When your account ends, your right to use the Services ends, and we delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections 4 (the parts about responsibility and feedback), 5(c), 7 (fees already owed) and 9 through 13 survive.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any email will be delivered or reach an inbox, that a connected platform will accept a post, or that AI output or an assistant's actions will be accurate or appropriate. Features we label as beta or preview may change or be withdrawn.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • neither party is liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services, even if told such damages were possible; and
  • our total liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US $100.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you will defend and indemnify Joy Labs Ventures, LLC and its personnel against third-party claims, and the resulting losses and reasonable costs, arising from Your Content, the email you send, actions taken through your account, API keys or assistant connections, or your breach of these Terms or of the law.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing a claim, each party agrees to try to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days after written notice, sent to us at legal@joylabsventures.com. Any dispute that is not resolved will be heard exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction. Either party may seek injunctive relief to protect its intellectual property or the security of the Services in any court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in this section takes away rights you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the place you live.

13. General

These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. We may send you notices by email to the address on your account or by posting them in the Services. You may not use the Services if you are located in, or ordinarily resident in, a country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, or if you are on a U.S. government restricted-party list, and you must comply with U.S. export-control and sanctions laws when you use the Services.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version at https://goodsender.com/terms and change the "Last updated" date at the top. For a material change, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in the Services before it takes effect, unless the change is required by law or addresses a new feature or abuse, in which case it may take effect sooner. If you keep using the Services after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Services.
